Stroke and the Caregiver by Lana Wilhelm, RN
At one point or another, we’ve all questioned why bad things happen to good people? A stroke or medical emergency is something I would never wish upon anyone, particularly my husband. Sadly, it occurred. Through our shared journey, I’ve healed and, most importantly, aided others during this hardship. I give thanks to God for allowing me to share my experiences, aid in Rick’s recovery, and extend his generosity to those in need.
A year has passed since the publication of Stroke and the Spouse. Motivated by conversations with many caregivers, I created “Stroke and the Caregiver” to provide current information and a platform for sharing experiences and challenges faced by stroke survivors and their support network. Thank you to all the families for contributing their stories.
